We’re happy to say that we’re just after uploading our latest video. It’s of the photo booth we did at Niamh & Seamus’ wedding. These guys really were great fun and they had a blast in front of the camera.

For those of you who don’t know, the photo booth is a little something we offer couples for their wedding. It’s a great throw in for your entourage who can pop by the booth and get a lovely picture of themselves with their loved one or with a group of their cousins they haven’t seen in ages. Sometimes people are happy just to come by and get a nice portrait of themselves and then other times they just go wild. – Like this crowd!

… Have a little look at their antics and let us know what you think! :)

One of the sweetest weddings ever?

Niamh & Seamus got married on the longest (and quite possibly the hottest!) day of the year and we had the pleasure of photographing it.

They tied the knot in St. Patrick’s Church in Lucan. After the ceremony ended and the congregation flooded out into the baking sun along came an ice-cream van loaded with 99’s, slush puppies and screwballs for all! Let’s just say, it was a big hit. After everybody had their fill of frozen treats we whisked away the newly-weds to Donadea Forest Park in Kildare to do a landscape session.

After that it was straight over to the Westgrove Hotel for the reception. It being Niamh and Seamus’ wedding, there was a an abundance of laughter during the speeches (and a fair share of tears too!) Getting back to the ‘sweet’ aspect … As if the gorgeous desserts which followed the meal and the ice cream van weren’t enough along came a couple of guys from ‘Sweet Memories’ who set up a Sweet Shop just outside the reception area! So in conclusion, it is my opinion that this wedding is a contender for the sweetest wedding of them all.

At the end of the night on the dancefloor, along came a mini Michael Jackson who wowed us all with his dancing abilities. Seamus (not wanting the spotlight to stay off him too long!:) hopped in for some of the action and thrilled the whole crowd by having a dance off.

P.S.: Photo booth coming soon…

It was a beautiful June evening and everything was bathed in a gorgeous warm light.

The two of them went ahead and did the things they love to do, whether it was skimming stones, picnicking, flying a kite or just plain ol’ goofing around :)

One thing’s for sure, they love being together. And we loved photographing it!

Sarah and Declan’s wedding brought us all the way down to Sixmilebridge in county Clare, to a little church appropriately called … ‘Little Church’. We received a very warm reception when we arrived the evening before and Sarah’s clan treated us like members of the family.

The day itself kicked off for me with photographing a hot towel shave all the lads were getting done in Limerick ’stab’ city in a cool little barbers called Figaro’s. Aga, on the other hand, went to photograph the bridal preparations, which only really got underway about five minutes before the ceremony was due to take place! The wedding was a real family effort with Sarah’s mum constructing not one, but two, floral bridal arches along with the lovely pews in the church. Sarah’s brother Johnny put together a wonderful display of lanterns in the reception area (The Dunraven Arms Hotel) and lots more besides.

It was a beautiful Spring day and the light was fantastic. After the ceremony we took off with the Bridal Party to some of the gorgeous natural locations in Clare for a little landscape session. … During which not even a muddy field (against a gorgeous white dress) or a few horses (around an allergic Best Man) could possibly have spoiled things! Taking photographs of Sarah & Declan’s family and friends was a pleasure from the word go.

Other highlights included a singing waiter and bottles of ‘Fat Bastard’ wine.

Below is a picture of Declan’s brother Brendan, being a bit of a mummy during his hot towel shave.

With lawsuits looming White Tea are forced into changing their name.

After much debate and deliberation, we have decided to change our name.

There are several reasons for this:

1. White tea is not a very popular drink in Ireland, with only 8% of people having actually tasted it before. Other varieties such as green, black and rooibos ranked much higher. As far as the brand name is concerned all research suggests that we should adopt a name which is more familiar and therefore more attractive to people.

2. There is a suit rental business which have been operating in Finglas for the past 5 years who go by the name of White Tie. Sadly our name “sounds the bleedin’ same” as theirs according to the manager of White Tie. This has led to at least two or three phone calls to White Tie from people looking for photographic services.

3. Also, having asked numerous clients and after conducting a full survey we have come to realise that the name White Tea does not sit well with many people. Just over half of those surveyed found the name ‘a bit racist’.

In an effort to give the people what they want, quell White Tie’s frustration and to stamp out any notions of our little company being a racially intolerant business, as and from April 2nd 2010, White Tea will be known as Black Tea*.

*Please don’t hate us Niall O’Farrell!

Q. So what is the Photo Booth by White Tea? Is it a passport style photo booth which you cram yourself into to get a few mugshots?

A. Not really. The photo booth by White Tea is a nifty little addition to your wedding where we set up a mini studio somewhere near where your guests are dancing and jigging in the reception venue. We do it a little later on in the night when everybody’s let their hair down a wee bit and they’re all perfectly willing to do a Kate Moss on it in front of the camera! It’s perfect if you want to be sure of getting great, fun pictures of all your wedding guests.

At Colin and Donna’s wedding we premiered our Photo Booth. We really couldn’t have envisaged the amount of fun everyone including ourselves had with it. We had a blast from the moment the first guests made their way over to our makeshift studio. And boy did Colin and Donna’s crew know how to let loose! Don’t take my word for it though, have a quick look at the slideshow we put together for them.

And as a special little pressie; if you like the slide-show you can download it here for free!

We have to tell you a bit about Colin and Donna’s wedding. Colin and Donna first stepped into our studio last Autumn. We had a little chat about what their wedding was going to be like and we really liked what we heard. It was going to be fun, quirky & classy and they mentioned some cool elements which really appealed to us and made their wedding quite different. More importantly they were the soundest and most fun couple you could hope to meet … this is pretty easy to see from the photographs we took of them on their big day.

They tied the knot at the tail end of January in the beautiful Corpus Christi Church on Griffith Avenue and the reception was held at Dunboyne Castle where the staff took great care of everybody.

So let us expand on these cool elements I mentioned earlier. Each of the tables at their reception was named after a sweet. They had tables christened ‘Bulls Eyes’, ‘Fried Eggs’, ‘Postman Pats’ and even ‘Flying saucers’. And of course there was a bowl of each candy at the relevant table! Another nifty addition to their reception was a caricaturist who did a damn good job at exaggerating everybody’s nicest and worst features! :)
